The Las Vegas Quiz (Win $100 Bucks!)
Here is a little quiz to test your general knowledge
of gambling and related subjects. You are on your
honor to answer them right off the top of your head
and not cheat by looking up the answers. Do your
best and answer all the questions; no points will be
deducted for an incorrect answer. You earn one point
per each correct answer and five points for correctly
answering the bonus question, a total of 17 points.
No peeking at your neighbor's paper. You may start NOW!:
1. Who invented the slot machine?
2. What is the difference between betting the Big 6
and placing the 6 on the craps table?
3. What is the average horsepower of the electric
motors that spin roulette wheels in Las Vegas?
4. What is the game that was once called the "Chinese
Lottery"?
5. If a gambling game (e.g. Keno or Caribbean Stud)
has $100,000 aggregate per game, what does that mean?
6. Asking the name of the hotel where Dan Tanna
hung out would be too easy. What Las Vegas hotel was
owned by the nemesis of Mike Torello?
7. Which counties in Nevada have not exercised their
local option to have legal prostitution?
8. Which city is farthest west, Reno, Nevada or Los
Angeles, California?
9. What is the object of Fan Tan?
10. Who are the primary users of the National Daily Reporter?
11. What would be betting on if you were using the Western Line?
12. What are you betting on if you make a "place bet"?
BONUS QUESTION:

OK, time is up, pencils down.........
Send your answers to The GameMaster Online's Managing Editor,
Brenda Moran at: theawesome1@yahoo.com. Brenda will be happy to
forward your answers to me for judging. In case of disputed
answers my decisions will be final, especially if I have made
any embarrassing errors with my facts. The person or persons
who score the best will have their names listed in next month's
Mystery Dealer column along with the answers. I was going to
offer T-shirts as prizes that say, "I solved the Mystery Dealer's
Mystery," but I can't afford them on what Brenda pays me.
But
The GameMaster has put $100 on the line as the prize.
