1999 Tournament of Champions and 1999 Orleans Open

I attended the 1999 Tournament of Champions and Orleans Open with press credentials. I was the first TOC, ever! I had a blast! Every poker star(well, not everyone) was there to help Mike Sexton fire up the first ever TOC. David Chiu, a former poker dealer won the event. He was a favorite. Great all around player, and GREAT hold'em player, winning two WSOP titles. He won over $200,000 and a beautiful Lincoln Town Car. At The Poker Show - http://poker2000.com - (see Old Shows) will have over 30 videos you can view using Real PlayerG2.

There is a download for FREE version and help to install site I built.
The Orleans Hotel ran both tournaments fantastic. Anthony Tran was the 1999 Orleans Open Champion.
A video company was hired to help Sexton put together a video of the TOC. Its really good. I installed some info and a short video clip(authorized by Tournament of Champions, Inc.)
It is a 4 minute clip of David Chiu calling Lynn Bauer with a King high, and taking down a big pot.

This is one of many hands that will will be forever historical. The tape is great! Of course you would expect me to say that. It was put together with care and historical considerations. Mike's video, produced for him and the Tournament of Champions by Thumbs Up Video, captured what was there as it happened it a fantastic form of chronology. Mike puts all the PRE-stuff up to Ceremonies/First Hand in sweet short installments...leadin to almost a hour of final table action.

David Chiu played the best poker I have ever seen or, heard of, in all my career. I was there. I was standing right next to him when he laid down the Kings(pre-flop) against Asmo big bet and ACES (I'm not seen in vid, hee)! The elimination of Mr. Doyle "Texas Dolly" Brunson still sends chills up my back when I think of the Standing Ovation he received as he left the pavilion, with son Todd Brunson, and family, and they were proud of Dolly :)

ALL ACTION VIDEO!!

Small buyins and nice action it will be. See you here!
