I don't know if this is an editorial so much as a promotional piece, but I hope you'll find it interesting anyway. What I want to talk about is several aspects of the amazing technology that is part of the Internet as we know it today and how we will be using that technology.

The first is "streaming" audio, which as you may know, is basically a radio program delivered over the Internet. We have been asked by Steve Adkins of the Online Players Association to provide a "show" to their site, www.casinogazette.com on a regular basis. I don't know if it will be once a week, twice a month or something else, but one thing you can count on is that the show will provide you with the type of information you need to make your casino gambling experience more enjoyable. Since I am very shy, Bill, who is our Director of Advertising, will host the show. Bill is a highly experienced Blackjack and Video Poker player and he contributes a lot of articles to our site, plus he has a pretty good voice. We'll announce the schedule for the shows on the message board here, when it's finalized.

Another first for us, and probably for the Internet gambling industry as well, is the upcoming series of Blackjack tournaments that we're working on. In cooperation with Global Player Casino, we are going to present a truly interactive tournament that will not only be a lot of fun, but will use a lot of the exciting technology available on the Internet.

If you've been to Global Player Casino, you're probably aware that they have excellent multi-player capabilities at their Blackjack and Roulette games. We are going to use those facilities to present a tournament where the winner of each qualifying round will compete directly against the GameMaster in a head-to-head match that can be viewed in real time by others. Since Global Player's great software also includes a chat function, I suspect some lively "conversation" will ensue as the match proceeds. In the future, we hope to add streaming audio to the match that will allow us to offer an expert commentary on all the action, which will be broadcast "live" over the 'Net.

All Global Player Casino customers will have an opportunity to compete in the series of tournaments and the rules and regulations will be published soon. We probably won't stop at Blackjack, either. As we gain experience with this, perhaps we'll add a Roulette tournament, one for Video Poker and so on. I play to win, but if you beat me, you'll receive a cash prize and will have "bragging rights" as well. I'm really excited about this.

The Internet continues to evolve and we're doing our best to not only keep up, but also jump out in front to bring you the best information, ideas and advice on gambling that we can produce. Don't ever doubt, even for a minute, that this site exists for you, the reader, and we're going to keep it that way.
